GLOBE : Greatness of Kindness starts at home

 Home is the one place in all this world where hearts are sure of each other.  It is the place of confidence.  It is the place where we tear off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts.  It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule.

When I married my husband, GOD blesses us with four beautiful children. Together we worked hard to sustain their needs. We mold them by heart to be GOD-fearing, caring, & kindheartedness. So, I am proud to say we did not fail to raise them into individuals that each of them is unique, and responsible people. Time flies so fast that I could hardly believe that the three of them has a family of their own and gave us four wonderful grandchildren. 

 June 1, 2011 when my husband left me to be with Our Almighty, It really breaks my heart and it filled with so much sadness and pain. However, what did make me strong is because of my grandchildren. They make me laugh to forget the sorrows of being left alone. They never left me on those crying days and sleepless nights. They lessen the heartaches and washed away my tears. Those sweet hugs and kisses from them is my medicine, and the sound of their laughter’s that filled our HOME is my therapy. Their love gives me strength to go on, and they are my inspiration to move on.

I had never received any medals nor special awards in my entire life, yet my grandchildren are the BEST trophy that I had. I may not have the honorable title to be great, but hearing my grandchildren say I am the best “Lola” in the whole wide world feels like I had given the highest recognition of all. They are my happiness that makes my life meaningful.

Greatness doesn’t only measures on how many certificates or plaque you have received, it is something that you have done for the goodness of others. It is the love that you had shared to your family or even to nameless people that you made an act of goodness in return for nothing.  It’s the greatness of kindness of the heart that really matters. It’s about how you able to pass the good deeds not just in your children but also through out of your succeeding generation. 

They may not inherit material wealth from me, yet I know through their hearts I had taught them how to care, and giving joy to other people just like my grandchildren had given me joy when times are tough.

 Greatness begins at home, where a child’s character develops and talents are discovered. Where you can be able to shape one’s potential of achieving greater things by nurturing them with kindness. Small things can be bigger things someday. Time will come I will be history yet my act of kindness that I had put values on my family would be a Legacy.
